I can't understand why most churches don't give communion the time of day. Jesus clearly said ... "as often as you meet, do this in remembrance of me".
For me it's quite straightforward - I know lots of people who take it everyday in their own homes, etc. The most common excuse I've heard for only taking it monthly is that it is too special to have every week ... lol ... or that it takes up too much time.

Thanks for the comments over at my blog Ben. It was certainly helpful as I process the best way for us to practice the Lord's supper in a meaningful way that people will connect with. How awesome is the net when we can converse and share info and ideas across the globe? I thank God He has me living today with such great tools at our disposal. Be blessed brother.

These blogs are such a great way to have conversations about what is going on in our churches and theological thoughts. I hope that you find what God has in store for your church and you see with your own eyes through study of the Scriptures what God has to say about Communion and not just take our word for what we have grown up around. I have been trying to do this with the doctrinal stances that the fellowship of churches that I am a part of hold to and make sure that they are Biblical and not tradition. Keep doing God's work in Perth and be the unique community that He has in store for you to be.
