I think way to many of us see how easy it is to copy and paste something we find but forget that it wasn't thought about or constructed in our context. You really hit it on the head when you said that we have to create training manuals specifically for our context.  I'm in the process of putting some stuff together right now.  I'm finding out volunteers are more open to receiving home cooked meals than ones that are purchased from another store.
